Dr. Wilson Liao specializes in caring for patients with psoriasis and other skin disorders that may respond to phototherapy (exposure to ultraviolet light).

Liao is interested in bringing cutting-edge research technologies into patient care in the clinic, a field called translational medicine. He is involved in a number of research studies on new therapies for psoriasis and skin cancer, and welcomes patient inquiries on study participation.

Liao earned his medical degree at Harvard Medical School. He completed both his residency and fellowship in dermatology at UCSF.

    Dr Liao is excellent, very sympathetic, Good listener, answering my questions clearly and attentively making me comfortable to ask and talk to him. I've been struggling with my psoriasis over the 6 years. My previous Dr / providers over the years were not a good match. After talking to him and getting his advice In his caring manner and his student assistance I felt finally meeting a right kind knowledgeable Dr. I'm mentally relieved. Looking forward to receiving Appropriate treatment.

    I know the specialist (Dr. Liao) has less time then the assistant. but again, Dr. Liao got all the info from assistant and came in and explained things clearly and answered my questions that only he could answer.
